Ochapowace Nation Sports Academy’s Summer Development Program is designed to develop elite Bantam and Midget aged male and female hockey players into more complete players. Our focus is to teach aboriginal hockey players the lifestyle it takes to be successful in hockey. The program would run in the hockey off-season from June to August. It would consist of strength and conditioning, mental training and refining hockey skills. This will take place in the Ochapowace Nation at the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex and Camp McKay

     

     

    ACCOMODATIONS

    Camp McKay is a wilderness camp on Round Lake that has 7 cabins with bunkbeds, dining hall, recreation hall, showers, beachfront dock, all equipped for your needs. 

     

    PARTNERING PROGRAMS

    Trench Fitness are fitness trainers that would create the strength and conditioning program for the summer. Their goal is to give you all of the tools to reach your fitness and health goals using the 4 Pillars of the Trench (Mindset & Motivation; Nutrition; Training; and Lifestyle).

    Competitive Will provides mental training services to athletes including team building sessions, critical analysis, education, and benchmarking tools to evolve individuals in the competitive atmosphere.

    COST

    $500 per athlete per month for 3 months for a total of $1,500.
    The cost would include accommodations, meals, sports psychology training and summer training
    program with strength and conditioning, hockey skills and ice time in August.
